Who is responsible

Runbit AS (Norwegian organisation number 937 297 025) is the data controller for the personal data processed on skattekalkulatoren.no.

The calculator and storage in your browser

The calculation runs in your browser. The numbers you enter are not sent to our server or to anyone else.

So you don't have to enter everything again, your numbers and chosen language are stored in your browser (localStorage) for 24 hours. After that they are no longer used, and they are deleted the next time you open the calculator.

This is necessary for the service to work the way you ask it to, so it doesn't require consent. The data never leaves your device, and you can delete it at any time by clearing your browser data for the site.

Visitor statistics

We count visits with Umami, an open-source statistics tool that we run on our own server in Norway. The data is not shared with Google or anyone else.

Umami records which pages are visited, which page you came from, your browser, operating system, type of device, screen size, language, approximate location (country, region and city) and which language the calculator is used in. The numbers you enter in the calculator are never sent.

Your IP address is not stored. It is only used to estimate your approximate location and to create an anonymous visitor ID that changes every month, so that we can count visitors without being able to link the statistics to you. The statistics are kept on our server for as long as the site is running.

Cookies

We don't use cookies. The only thing stored on your device is the numbers and language choice described above. Cookies from Google Analytics and ads, which the site used earlier, are deleted automatically when you visit again.

Legal basis

The visitor statistics are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in knowing how many people use the site and how, so that we can improve it (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Since Umami uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device, we don't ask for consent.

You can object to this at any time. The simplest way is to turn on “Do Not Track” in your browser; you are then not counted.

The server logs described below are processed on the same basis, to run the site and fix errors (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Hosting and server logs

The site and the visitor statistics run on servers at Gigahost AS in Norway.

The web server does not log ordinary visits. If a request fails or is interrupted, the server may log your IP address, your browser and the address you requested, so that we can find and fix the error. These logs are deleted after 14 days.

Your rights

You have the right to access the data we hold about you and to have it corrected or deleted. You can also ask us to restrict the processing, or object to it. Send an email to ole@fnugg.as.

If you believe we process personal data in breach of the rules, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) or to the data protection authority in the country where you live.
